Pennsylvania Beautiful-Author's note

Recently I visited Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Unlike Mount Oliver, Pa in Pittsburgh, I have visited Lancaster numerous times. This couple days worth of time in Lancaster I spent with my children readying for the school year. We shopped at the outlets for school uniforms and shoes and supplies like we do every year. We ate at Cracker Barrel, which is rare because we do not have one at home and we also visited a couple smorgasbords. On the road to and from and around the area of Ronks, Bird-In-Hand, Gap and Rohrerstown, I had the opportunity to snap pics of the areas I have included in my Habits novel. The surrounding farmlands, the Amish in their horse and buggy carriages, cows, horses and (not photographed) goats and sheep. Corn and tobacco are prevalent in the photos. It's a quiet and well kept area and it's gives such a different perspective on life for another culture.

Unfortunately I did not get out to Ephrata and the Main theater this trip. I look forward to revisiting the area again and will go to the theater. I will also visit Oakland, Maryland one day in the future. For now, the areas detailed in the flip side version of Ronks and the reality version of the Bird-In-Hand Farmer's market, I had the privilege of touring in my mustang.
